Water Plant Work
Water for human consumption is collected from many different locations; i.e. groundwater, surface water from rivers and lakes, and from water reservoirs. In some parts of the world, even seawater can be used after a thorough desalination process.
Regardless of the source, water must always be purified before use. Water from certain areas may only need filtration and aeration, while water from other locations may need to go through a disinfection process before it is ready for use. Water treatment typically takes place in a water plant, in which the valves are often equipped with either electrical or pneumatic actuators to enable remote operation and control.
AVK offers a broad range of valves and accessories designed to comply with the specific conditions and demands in a typical water treatment plant. It includes gate valves, centric and double eccentric butterfly valves, swing check valves, air valves, and a wide selection of couplings, flange adaptors, repair clamps and valve accessories.
